{"id":9221,"date":"2026-04-28T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/MassadAyoob\/?p=9221"},"modified":"2026-04-22T13:45:18","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T17:45:18","slug":"sentiment-and-guns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/MassadAyoob\/sentiment-and-guns\/","title":{"rendered":"SENTIMENT AND GUNS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I recently ran across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/just-because\/\">this article<\/a> from a 2013 issue of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Backwoods Home\u00a0<\/em>magazine at the website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It reminded me that sentiment and practicality are not necessarily mutually exclusive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of late I\u2019ve again been carrying an old favorite, the 1911 pistol, albeit in the more modern dress of my Wilson Combat SFT9.&nbsp;&nbsp;Accurate as heck, utterly reliable, carrying sixteen rounds of Winchester Ranger-T +P+ with a 127 grain jacketed hollowpoint, a 9mm with ballistics only 100 feet per second short of standard velocity for a .357 SIG.
