Chat Tip

Remember - If the Living Room is getting too crowded or busy to follow the conversations, you can create your own private or public room for you and a few friends.

Due to recent problems with people abusing the Chat Room, access is now restricted to registered Forum members who are required to log in with their Forum Username and Password. If you have been in the Chat Room in the past week or so, you are probably already registered here. If not, please Click Here or scroll down for more information.

Command Macros Description

/beepall Beep on all messages, audio notification.

/clign Clear Ignore List

/cls Clear Screen

/create [subroom] Create Open Subroom. Read Help for useage rules

/create [subroom] [password] Create Private Subroom. Read Help for useage rules

/ignore /i Show Ignore List

/ignore [username] /i Ignore User

/join [subroom] Join Open Subroom. Read Help for usuage rules

/join [subroom] [password] Join Private Subroom. Read Help for usuage rules

To Leave Room Double-click on new Room

/listen [username] Do not Ignore User

/msg [username] [message] /m, /p Send Private Message

/visual Toggle Visual Notifications

/whereis [username] What Room is [username] in? [English]

/whoami Who Are You?

Chat Room Access

If your Username/Password does not work here and you are known to admin or to a Global Moderator you will be granted access within a day. Send an IM to admin AND the Moderator who knows you requesting access.

If you are a new member or are not known in the Forum and you registered using your primary, traceable email address issued by your Internet Service provider, send an IM to admin requesting access.

Note that Juno, AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, and other such web-based email addresses do not qualify because they can be obtained without revealing your identity.

If the email address in your profile is web-based, please send a request from your primary, traceable email address to webmaster@backwoodshome.com Subject = Chat Room access. Include your Forum Username and the first four characters of your password. Requests from web-based email addresses will be deleted.
