A dozen or so years ago, I attended one of the annual Texas Firearms Law Seminars sponsored by the State Bar of Texas, where I also lectured. The lessons I mentioned then in my Combat Handguns magazine Self-Defense and the Law column remain current now.

Notice how law-abiding gun owners, who could become heroes if they stop a crime, have to be afraid of the legal system. This same legal system is often lenient with real criminals who steal and/or destroy property, and sometimes it is even lenient with violent criminals. This is especially true in Democrat-run cities.
So, we have a legal system which is feared by the good guys, but not feared very much by the bad guys. Too bad American justice is not as great as American technology.
