In NRA Action Pistol competition, Vera Koo was one of the greats.  Before she retired from I lost count of how many times she won High Woman there, and frankly she beat most of the men, too, including yours truly. But public speaking was not her game. She writes movingly about how she overcame her fears and delivered an excellent and well-received talk this year at the firearms industry’s biggest trade show, SHOT, the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade event in Las Vegas.

Vera Koo is an inspiration in more ways than one. Read her excellent book, which you can find here.

  1. Good stuff, Mas, I’ll have to add her book to my collection!

Speaking of books, I’m up to 41 pages on my book draft (50th anniversary of the Beretta 92 series), and I’ve cited your works a coupla times already! 😎✍️📝👨‍💻📘📚📖

  2. It’s fascinating how someone who was afraid of guns could eventually master them to such a high degree. You’ve come a long way, lady!
