Race riots leave brutal aftermaths. They leave communities horribly scarred and depleted in many ways. Let’s hear from a former cop who happens to be African-American:
or watch video here.
Some of the “protesters” have reportedly appropriated a six-block area in Seattle including a police precinct station, which was abdicated to them rather than defended. (I hope the cops cleaned out the building’s armory and evidence lockers first.) Who will police the occupiers within the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone?
Raz Simone, the self-styled warlord of CHAZ, is reportedly walking around with a pistol and an AK47 and assaulting people there.
Since the “occupation,” Seattle Police response time to emergencies has tripled.
The “occupiers” have generated an extensive list of demands. Read it. It’s partly sad and partly hilarious.
Consider the devastation the riots have brought to black communities, as noted in Forbes.
Burning down buildings in your own community, as has happened in many places, is the very definition of pyrrhic victory.
