Tom Selleck is one of my favorite actors and favorite celebrities. I can’t think of a part he’s played that isn’t a role model for decency. I’ve never met the man, unfortunately, but I’m happy to say he is One Of Us.
In addition to his many years as a director of the National Rifle Association, he has donated many guns in his vast collection to worthy causes. A skilled shooter, said to be a graduate of the Gunsite shooting academy, he has done much to promote the responsible use of firearms.

Dang…the video we tried to attach was taken down by YouTube. Sorry, folks.

  1. What? Huh?
We cannot allow handsome white masculine male figures to have an opinion in public anymore.
Is it really a surprise it’s been censored? I don’t even know what the video was about, but it really doesn’t matter? The people that do not see the government censorship and media collusion, do so willingly. That makes them not only complicit, but lands them squarely in the ‘enemy’ camp of people who want to kill me.

  2. “Quigley Down Under” remains one of my favorite movies of all time. Solid protagonist, solid shooting scenes, well-written plot, and Alan Rickman as the Bad Guy? What is there to complain about?

  3. If you search ‘Rock Island Auction Company Tom Selleck’, videos about his collection will come up, even on the RIA YouTube channel

  4. Selleck was always one of my favorite actors and definitely one of my wife’s favorites. A good man with good values. He actually knew his way around a 1911 and various other arms.

From Magnum, PI to Blue Bloods and all the movies in between, he produced great viewing without the cringe factor too much of Hollywood seems determined to put into its shows.

Alan Rickman was one of the best villains of all time. His ability to deliver a sneering line was unmatched.

  5. Tom Seleck is definitely one of my favorite actors. Mr Ayoob is right about the way he described Tom Seleck. I never realized that my Mom was such a big fan of him. She’d always watch him in Blue Bloods and Jessie Stone. Quigly Down Under is one of his best movies. The way he handled the rifle was amazing. It’s obvious that he’s not just playing a part shooting a rifle. I felt the way that he was treated by Rosie O’Donnell was downright disgusting and he handled himself like a gentleman.

    • Rosie O’Donnell is a disgusting excuse for a human being. It’s no surprise how she treated Mr. Selleck; she treats anyone to the right of Chairman Mao like that, and if it’s a man she dials it up to 11.

But Mr. Selleck handles himself with confidence and grace. That’s not just a persona; that’s just how he is.

  6. BTW leave it to the social media censors have their way with the video about this Masculine man who is teaching us about the importance of safe gun handling.

  7. The 9 Jesse Stone videos are my favorite. I’ve watched them so much I know the scrips.
Thanks for mentioning Select. He is one of the good guys…..Bob

    • I agree. I really like the Jesse Stone series. That is typical Tom Selleck. You know, they say that John Wayne didn’t act – he just played himself. I think the same can be said for Selleck. The more age and experience he acquired, the better his movies. I can remember when Magnum PI was first run on TV. I didn’t care for the show or the actor. All that changed as he started playing other roles. Pair up Tom Selleck with Sam Elliott in a western and you have a winner! Tom Selleck is a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity (awarded Significant Sig honor years ago) and I am proud to call him a brother.

I still think that had circumstances been different he would have made a great Indiana Jones as he was the first pick for that role. His involvement with Magnum PI at the time required him to turn down the role. . . . and then along came Harrison Ford.

  8. I too have enjoyed every one of the Jesse Stone movies, it’s as if Robert B. Parker wrote the books with Selleck in mind.

  9. He just makes any scene he’s in. Out of all the tough guys, his most successful movie release was “Three Men and a Baby” (1987), which was the highest grossing movie in 1987. Anyone else remember that one?
