The most severe example that Hitler and the Nazis set of evil racial consequences in depriving the right to effective self defense seems to be far too generally minimized or ignored. In my studies of Hitler I have found that Hitler may well have felt that he had substantially won World War II because of the huge near-extinction of large, primary ethnic groups. If you compare the numerical racial devastation from Nazism to the numbers of casualties in the admittedly deplorable recent mass shootings, the gun-control Nazi types have been magnitudes worse. Better arming and more security are a much better solution to the growth of violence than depriving innocent people the right to self-defense. Genocidal movements don’t get growth if nipped in the bud. John Lott and More Guns, Less Crime need more attention and respect.
Yesterday and today I was watching the news. Shootings at Brown University in Rhode Island, Biondi Beach in Australia and Syria. No victim shot back. Women know they are in danger of being raped, yet most don’t carry pistols. When will victims learn to fight back? Admittedly, the fact that most governments want unarmed victims keeps many people from defending themselves with 1800s-technology tools.
Armenians, Rwandans, Russians, Chinese, Cambodians, Syrians, Cubans, and a whole lot more. The first thing that evil dictators do is disarm the populace, before eliminating people.
If you read accounts of gay people going to the range, you get reports of guns being loaned to try out (even where illegal) and information about good deals on ammo.
