A lot of folks still focus more on how to shoot than when to shoot…and on what happens after the shooting. Brent Wheat, my editor at GUNS magazine for many years, still hosts an excellent podcast which I recommend and follow regularly.
Here’s one where I was a guest a couple of years ago, discussing management of the aftermath of self-defense shootings:

Excellent video, as always!
I wish these things had transcripts. I am a dinosaur (two days younger than you) but plenty of people my age like the video format. I am stuck on the issue that I can read a transcript 10 times faster than I can watch. I sure it is good advice as your stuff always is but I am not spending 40 minutes.
Same for me, good info in many videos but reading is much better.

To date, the classroom half of MAG40 is still my best guidance and frequently revisited education source for need-to-know/study/practice. Thanks Mas.
I agree with CaShields. While I dislike the idea of a “test” to qualify a person to exercise such a fundamental right, I’d strongly prefer that all citizen weapon carriers (concealed or open) took MAG 40 before strapping on.
I’d even support such a requirement if it would qualify a person for nationwide CCW. Of course, there would need to be a tightly narrowed definition of “off-limit” locations, like courthouses, and only if the off-limit location had weapon detection technology at all entrances and at least two armed security persons at each entrance. All other “gun free zones” are merely magical thinking.
