Cabbage for kraut

I planted “stonehead” cabbage. Is it ok for kraut as it is an early cabbage?

You bet, I plant Stonehead cabbage for our fall cabbage and not only does it make great kraut but it stores well too, as long as you don’t pull it until later in the fall. — Jackie

Storing marshmallows

I recently bought marshmallows (they were on sale!). I was wondering what was the best way to store them? Mylar bags? Gasketed lid bucket? O2 absorber or not? Other suggestions?

Usually marshmallows will store a very long time if just left in their original bag and then packed in an airtight container. They really aren’t a long-term storage food as eventually they will get hard. But you can still use them by gently heating them in the oven and using them quickly before they re-harden. — Jackie
