Jackie called me yesterday afternoon. She didn’t want you all to worry if you don’t see a blog from her this week. She is having a little medical issue (not COVID-19!), and will be back to blogging soon. She wanted me to assure everybody that she is doing fine.

Will is doing good keeping up with the seed orders, but I’ll bet he’ll be glad when Jackie can help him again — it’s a job that goes a lot faster with two people.

In the meantime here are a couple of her past garden pictures to brighten your day. — Lisa

    • Everyone helped out wonderfully. Now I’m home from the hospital, all fixed up and ready to work.

  1. Lisa thanks for filling us all in. Will, I can only imagine how tired you are, caring for all the critters, heating the house, eat, sleep, and Oh yeah…filling orders! Its more than one person can do so I’m glad David is there some too. Work and building a house is plenty, but its good you two can keep the place going until she returns. Now Jackie…hope you realize how incredibly important you are to this huge community. Your ability to teach, guide, befriend and entertain us all is remarkable. Do whatever the doctors say and become your healthy self again. You are needed; we can read your informative books and magazine articles (and do), but it will cause a serious depression and withdrawal symptoms if your blog goes dark for very long! We truly do love and need you, just like your family does, so rest and repair.
    Big hugs to all,

    • Aww, Erin, so sweet. Will did a wonderful job holding everything together while I was “indisposed” in the hospital. Now I’m home and all fixed up. David pulled all the tomato cages and stakes and Will pulled all the name stakes in the main garden. What wonderful helpers they are!!! Don’t think for a second I don’t appreciate them. p.s. The new blog is up!!

  2. So sorry about your health issues. Pray you are better soon and can do the work you love. Praying for better times.

  4. Thank you, Lisa, for your note. Without it we wouldn’t have known that prayers were needed. God knows what is wrong, and He knows how to fix it. In the meantime, Jackie, you can see that many, many prayers are wishing you a quick return to health. We’ll think of you as we plant your seeds.
