I received the “Soups & Stews” cookbook a few days ago and so far I am very impressed with it. As always, I LOVE the spiral bound feature which makes it easy to use in the kitchen or to copy for friends when they like the recipe. The glossy coating is also marvelous since when things get messy in the kitchen the recipe isn’t ruined. The photos are very appetizing, colorful and add a great deal to the book. I also love the variety of recipes taking into consideration those who are vegetarian which can suit all cuisines. I also like the fact that the ingredients are for the most part things that ordinary people have handy in their pantry. I like how it’s organized and the index is useful when you want to look up something quickly. The only drawback I had was that I’d planned on giving copies to people for Christmas and there were printing issues which didn’t make that happen in time, but hey, Christmas just got stretched out a bit for those people and the books were worth the wait. It was packaged well in one big envelope. I trust the caliber of recipes from people who actually cook real food from scratch, because that’s the kind of cook I am too. Thank you Backwoods Home for adding yet another gem to my self-reliant tool kit.
