Cover 108
This issue’s cover is an opaque watercolor of Paul Brousseau training a horse to walk into the waves on an Oregon beach. It was painted by longtime BHM artist Don Childers.

You’ll enjoy John Silveira’s article on page 43 about how Brousseau trains horses. He bonds with the horses, listens to what they are trying to tell him, and wins their permission to ride them. He ultimately transforms the animals into human companions who are ridable.
