ABOUT THE COVER
This issue’s cover is of Southwest Scotland. It accompanies an article on page 42 about old-fashioned haymaking by Sarah Ade. The article itself retains the flavour of the way the Scottish speak the English language, but readers of BHM will have no trouble identifying with the Ade family.
The idea of self-reliance appears to be strong in Scotland. The beauty of their countryside obviously rivals the beauty of parts of America.
