ABOUT THE COVER
This issue's cover is a painting by Don Childers that depicts Eric Ainsworth building the floor on his home under construction in Ashland, Oregon. He's working until the sun goes down, which is what you have to do to build your own home without going in debt. Dorothy Ainsworth, Eric's mom and a longtime BHM contributor, is the writer and photographer for this how-to series of articles that will hopefully help you begin the process of building your own home on your own piece of land.
