A new adventure

I guess it’s time for me to jump on the bandwagon. There are so many insanely talented knitters floating about here in bloggerdom that I thought it about time for me to join in.

Anyway, Me: Annie, age 22, married, 1 year old daughter. I’m obsessed with sheep, goats, and Harry Potter, though I don’t have any of the first two right now owing to the fact that we are renting in S. Cal. and are excessively poor.

And my knit profile: learned to knit Barbie sleeping bags (that were wide enough for Ken, too, of course) when I was 7, but didn’t start knitting again until high school, at which time I became irreversably obsessed. Since then I’ve knit thousands of dollars worth of yarn (thank goodness most of it came in the form of Christmas and birthday gifts). Last year I shed my intimidation of sweaters. I was under the misguided impression that they were difficult and took eons longer than other projects. This year I’m shedding the “I don’t need to to that,” attitude about gauge swatches. Lets just say I’ve learned my lesson.

I have a bunch of projects on the needles at the mo, including a Kim Hargreaves (Rowan “Plaid Collection”) sweater for husbandperson and a trianglular garter-lace shawl (Fibertrends “Pacific Northwest Shawl”) for my mum. Shh. That last one is a secret. Her birthday is in a month, so I hope to have it done by then.

I’ll post photos asap.

Out.
