ABOUT THE COVER
Longtime BHM artist Don Childers painted this issue's cover using acrylics and water colors. The idea for it came out of a skull session of BHM editors. We were looking for a symbolic cover that would highlight our theme of "making a living." Depression-era and World War II-era poster art, with its symbolism and inspiration, came to mind. A search of the internet produced a World War II poster depicting a foot digging in a garden with the slogan, "Grow more in ‘44." Our editorial coordinator, Lisa Nourse, suggested we "dig up some money," and Don took it from there.
