This issue’s cover is another by our longtime artist, Don Childers. As a model he used the photo of a bucket of red potatoes that leads Alice Yeager’s article, Gardening is good for you, beginning on page 24. The medium Don used was an opaque watercolor paint, called gouache, on Crescent No. 99 Cold Press illustration board. Don’s covers continue to dazzle and delight our readers.
