Send in the Waco Killers
Essays on the freedom movement
1993-1998

Book Review By Oliver Del Signore
Oliver Del Signore

Anyone who regularly reads Vin’s syndicated column, “The Libertarian,” is familiar with his shoot-from-the-hip, no-nonsense style and his devotion to the concepts of liberty and freedom.

A graduate of Wesleyan University, Suprynowicz has spent 27 years in the newspaper business. He began his career at the Hartford Advocate, became a star reporter for the Willimantic Chronicle, then the wire editor of the Norwich Bulletin, managing editor of the North Virginia Sun and was the founder and publisher of the weekly Providence Eagle. The International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors has three times named him to the Golden Dozen—the top 12 weekly editorial writers in the U.S. and Canada. He is currently an editorial writer for the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Nevada’s largest daily newspaper.

In Send In The Waco Killers, Vin blends material taken from his syndicated column with new commentary to give the reader a detailed, reporters-eye-view of exactly how the rights and freedoms of American citizens are being subverted at an ever increasing pace.

Starting with “Where We Went Wrong” he examines such disparate topics as the drug war, jury rights, public schools, taxes and the IRS, the press, gun control, and the anti-militia hysteria, demonstrating how each is used by the Federal government to increase its power and control over the lives of the American people.

You’ll read detailed accounts of how agents of the ATF and the FBI routinely lie, how they use paid informers to infiltrate Constitutionally-protected militia groups and then fabricate evidence in order to arrest and discredit them. You’ll learn how your children are being taught to accept authoritarian rule, how history is being revised to satisfy the demands of multiculturalism, and why home-schooling is the only answer to what Vin calls “America’s youth propaganda camps,” the public schools. You’ll find your Sixth Ammendment right to a trial by jury really isn’t a right anymore. And you will come to know the real reason the authors of the Constitution included the Second Ammendment.

Had this book been written by an unknown, it would be easy to dismiss it as the ravings of a disaffected conspiracy nut. But Suprynowicz’s credentials are impeccable. His long career as a reporter and editorial writer lend authority to his presentation of researched facts and credence to the conclusions drawn from them. Page after page, you will find yourself nodding in agreement, even as a sense of outrage at the undeniable corruption of our government and its agents fills you almost to the bursting point.

If you read no other book this year, read this one. Just be sure to keep your blood pressure medication handy.
