Finished zuca (long ago)
Susanna brought it to my attention that I had never posted a finished picture of the zuca bag I was working on last year. Oops!
So here it is. I finished it in October, and mailed it off ages ago. Over all, I’m very pleased with my work, but there are a few things I could have done better/differently. I should have studied the Zuca website much more, because they show a lot of detail on their bag inserts. I would have changed my design a bit if I had looked carefully first. I also struggled a lot with how to attach the bag to the frame. And lastly, I should have thought about how I would line the bag before I assembled the zipper panel. In the end I realized that I should have lined and interfaced each piece of vinyl individually before assembling the bag, but of course it was too late by then. I do hope the bag will see a lot of use. It was a challenging project, but I think it turned out great!

OMG! Annie- this is the most perfect bag ever!!! I love love love it- and it gets MUCH use. I always get fabulous comments on it- from Airline stewardesses to Pilots. And I always make sure that they know that you made it for me. Thank you so much for doing such wonderful work. I am always pleased and excited to get packages from you. Talented woman!!!!

Thanks for the follow up…you know I just got my son one of these…and the insert bag that came with it, had a broken zipper right out of the package. So I’m waiting on the replacement bag…and my son is just not happy to wait to use this thing. They have a zipper wrap that attaches the bag to the front of the frame, and then two straps each side on the back of the frame with velcro, much like your front frame attachments. They it has a velcro peice on the top of the bag…I think I’m suppose to stick the other peice of the velcro to the top of the frame…
Anyhow, I’m very curious, cause I might have to make my own bag soon too. Thanks again, great project! And your bag looks wonderful!
