Two new Kindle books by friends of the blog

Sunday, December 9th, 2012

Two new Kindle books this week from friends of Living Freedom!

Jim Bovard’s long-awaited memoir, Public Policy Hooligan. It’s the story of how a boy from the sticks went to Washington, DC, and made enemies in high places.

And David Haywood Young’s novel of poker players, love, crime, Gypsies, and mystery, Pagan Sex. (You remember David from his earlier first novel Shiver on the Sky.) Sheesh, I wish I were 1/10th as prolific as he is!

  1. Mac the Knife Says:

Thanks Claire. The price was right so bought both of them.

  2. David Says:

Thanks again for the mention, Claire!

Review copies are always gonna be free, if anybody’s interested. And available in any format. Email me at my first name at if you’d like one.

  3. David Says:

And thanks Mac! I guess our responses passed in the night. Or something.

Speaking of formats, there are lots available if any of you would prefer to get PS at Smashwords:

It’s supposed to be available in a lot more places in a few days. We’ll see. And don’t forget the “free” option. {8′>

  4. Keith Perkins Says:

Thanks for the link to Smashwords David. I prefer to get my books there when I can.

  5. Jim Bovard Says:

Thanks, Claire! Your feedback on the draft chapters was invaluable and your encouragement via email provided a heaps of shots in the arm as I muttered my way through the project.

Still whittling on the cover – got to find some way to exploit the crosshairs….

  6. David Says:

Keith- Me too, now that I know about them. Just makes sense to buy DRM-free stuff from people who can’t delete it from my reader even if I accidentally turn on wi-fi.
