New stuff from Michael W. Dean

Tuesday, December 11th, 2012

Hey. Free movies.

The very accomplished Michael W. Dean has a new video out.

You know Michael from the Freedom Feens podcast and his earlier film Guns And Weed: The Road To Freedom.* And from interviews I did with him and his fellow conspirator Neema Vedadi back in 2010 (starting here).

Now he’s back with an instructional video for beginning shooters, Gun Training With The Non-aggression Principle, Vol 1.* Here’s a trailer:

Yeah, I know everybody will argue about this technique or that. Gunfolk always do. But it’s an intriguing idea, linking firearms training to the non-aggression principle.

Ha! That’ll confuse those non-freedomistas who think the non-aggression principle is a form of pacifism! Pretty good for teaching kids, too.

* Amazon DVD links above. But you can also get both films free via Freedom Feens torrents.

  1. Matt, another Says:

Hmmm, I might actually buy that video. I like the NAP 2.0 explanation. My only criticism of the trailer is when he talks about the emergency reload. Any time you are in a gun fight and need to reload, it is an emergency.

  2. The Infamous Oregon Lawhobbit Says:

Is it an “interesting idea” or a “marketing gimmick?”

I have my own opinion, of course.

  3. Claire Says:

Could be both, Hobbit. Modern history is filled with such.

  4. Michael W. Dean Says:

It’s actually a reaction to two things:

    1. Gun training DVDs and self-defense DVDs in general. Many, if not most, are done by tough, gruff guys who sound like they’re just WAITING for their chance to “kill someone and get away with it”, and/or are neocons, and/or in some other way do not abide by, or maybe even know about, the non-aggression principle.

    2. The inordinate number of people I’ve met who, the first time they hear the term “non-aggression principle”, think it means something about being a wimp, or not defending yourself, and dismiss it.

    Michael W. Dean

p.s. Thank you for the post, Claire.
