Merry Christmas

Monday, December 24th, 2012

From tiny superdog Uggie, who became famous for starring in The Artist after making this humble greeting card:

Unfortunately, most of our dogs are more like this:

But we love ‘em anyhow. And sometimes even some pretty unlucky dogs become lucky ones.

Merry Christmas — to all the two-legs and all the four-legs in your life (even the C-A-T-S).

Merry Christmas Claire! I love how in the preview of the second video the play icon covers up the dog’s eyes but you know exactly what they look like by the drooping head.

  2. naturegirl Says:

Merry Christmas to you Claire and to all your 4 legged babies :)

And to all who roam around here in the comments section, too….

Hope all have a safe and warm holiday season !

  3. Water Lily Says:

Caeli and I wish you and your doggies a wonderful Christmas!

  4. Joel Says:

    Merry Christmas, Claire.

  5. Karen Says:

Merry Christmas, Claire and furbabies! And to the commentariat for a safe and happy day.

  6. jed Says:

    Merry Christmas, everyone!

    One of my favorite carols:
    Coventry Carol

Also, a late Festivus Miracle … I just dug into my tool box for an allen wrench, and the 1st one I grabbed was the correct size!

Another Christmas thing I wish I would remember, every year, before it’s gone by:

Yes, it’s Tuba Christmas. Note that this includes sousaphones, baritones, and tenor horns too. I see a couple other things there which I can’t identify — they look too big to be fluglehorns.

  8. Claire Says:

I love the Coventry Carol and that’s one of the prettiest renditions. I just try very hard not to notice that it’s a lament by a mother whose infant is about to be murdered by statist thugs.

And wow! That really is a miracle! In fact, in my experience, finding any Allen wrenches, ever, is a miracle. I buy them by the dozens at tool sales, put them in the only drawer in the house where I ever keep any kind of screwdrivers or wrenches … and the next time I need them, they’ve vanished. This never happens with slotted, Phillips, or Robertson screwdrivers. Nor with any other type of wrench (in fact, other wrenches seem to multiply). It’s a trait unique to Allens.

  9. jed Says:

I too, own lots of allen wrenches — they’re all over the place!

As, at best, a non-christian, I’ve learned to ignore the meaning of the words, and just enjoy the music. Of course, I do that with a lot of pop/rock these days too. With Christmas music, it’s easier if it’s in Latin, Italian, French, or German. Less so with Latin and German, because I can mostly understand those.

  10. Kent McManigal Says:

Merry Christmas, Claire (and company)! From Butterscotch and Boots (my kitties) and me.

  11. Wilson Says:

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
