RIP, Aaron Swartz

Saturday, January 12th, 2013

He fought the law — and depression. The law and depression won.

A kid genius and a good fighter is gone. (H/T J & P)

Just read about this over at legalinsurrection and it is indeed a sad story. To think that our government overlords have nothing better to do than persecute a brilliant young guy because he was trying to freely disseminate journal articles to the geneal public. Add his name to the list of the fallen who have been victimized by our supposedly trustworthy government of good intentions.

  2. Water Lily Says:

Very sad. I didn’t know much about him before this article, but I know of Cory from his LITTLE BROTHER novel.

    RIP Aaron. Another genius gone.

  3. LibertyNews Says:

Lots of other good posts about Aaron over at http://news.ycombinator.net right now. Including a post from the expert witness hired by the defense – http://unhandled.com/2013/01/12/the-truth-about-aaron-swartzs-crime/

  4. MamaLiberty Says:

Never heard of him before, sadly. What a sick waste. The “DOJ” keeping us save from genius and innovation. Sure thing.

  5. MamaLiberty Says:

That was SAFE. Can’t type when I’m angry…
